Michelin Restaurants in Le Havre
Le Bouche à Oreille
This top-notch establishment is laid out behind a tasteful glazed façade. The chef adheres to tradition when crafting his bold, generous and flavourful cuisine but puts his own stamp on dishes with the odd touch of originality – think prawn tartare, prawn gyoza with coriander and lemongrass, bisque and cashew nuts. His friendly and efficient wife takes care of things front of house, dispensing insightful wine tips along the way.

Jean-Luc Tartarin
Jean-Luc Tartarin has a strong affinity with his native Normandy and concocts seafood dishes in which the modernism of Le Havre meets the soul of the Normandy countryside: line-caught pollock seared in Colombo oil; a fat juicy langoustine licked by rosemary embers; calf’s sweetbread in breadcrumbs with morels and green asparagus. Served in a cocooned interior done up in soothing beige tones, it is located in the heart of the historic town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Fine wine list and selection of ciders and calvados.

Le Margote
In his restaurant overlooking the Bassin du Roi, chef Gauthier Teissere is assisted by Marguerite (his wife) front of house. He delivers contemporary, creative cuisine, jazzed up with the occasional nod to Asia. The stylish, snug interior is the perfect foil for dishes that reverently respect the seasons. Each dish is a masterpiece – not least the tender pork belly with a celeriac purée and smoked emulsion, or the generous pollack with cauliflower and capers.
